This, the first volume of Messerli`s mammoth project to publish all the innovative world poetry of the 20th century, contains English translations of 21 international poets, including Ingeborg Bachmann of Austria, Hagiwara Sakutaro of Japan, and Osip Mandelstam of Russia.
